To clarify, these were the semi-autos not the single shots. I would guess the single shots are much more solid, hard to screw that up.


They will not function well with standard target load, you have to use a higher fps load and they like to run wet, they will not function well if the action is run dry!

Don’t know about that, but I do know they don’t work well when the firing pins bend and break. ;)

My brother had a Savage 12 ga single shot when we were younger. There's something to be said for a dirt simple shotgun. Heck at OGC, you can only load one round anyhow if you're shooting trap, and the carry ability of one of these over a pump or semi auto in the woods is real after breaking brush all afternoon.
