Barrel Change in Glock 31 .357 sig

Postby bandit357 on Sat Oct 10, 2009 5:10 pm

I love my model 31, but with the shortage of the .357 sig round and not being a real popular round. I would like to know if a .40 S&W barrel is a good choice for a barrel change. Also is there any recommended changes you need to make to the nomuclature of the pistol itself when putting in a .40 barrel?

A standard Glock 22 barrel will drop right in. You don't need to change a thing. The mags will work just fine, there's a slight difference in the mag followers between the 357 and 40.

There's nothing that needs to be changed. Slap the 22 barrel in and go to town. I would go OEM Glock for around $150. You can get a Lone Wolf barrel for around $100.
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

That's the same set up I have, although somettimes I just wished I had both guns to shoot with so I don't need to switch back and forth

Yeah, cuz it takes like 10 seconds to swap barrels.

Thanks for the info. Every one I know seemed to always talk about that S&W barrel. Glock 22 would make sense...
