One of the questions that gets asked a lot on some of the car forums I frequent is: I just bought a new car so what modification should I do first to make it go faster/handle better?
The answer: Get as much seat time with a professional as you can.
Usually a highly trained driver in the family sedan can really make it a race with someone in a modified car with no training. Once you get a certain level of training then you can start to make it go faster and handle better. You need to know what your car can and can't do before you start to rely on modifications. In fact a highly modified vehicle in the hands of an untrained person can be dangerous.
I think its sort of the same with lasers and a lot of other gun mods. It pays to get training before you start to rely on mods.
On the other hand, I suppose if you have bad eyesight or some other issue lasers could be the difference between life and death. Heck, I have a laser on my snubbie and have only just started to take some training classes.
