I don't think it's that much of a deal. It most likely does not have a bunch of rounds through it . Although you can never go wrong with a Glock(flame suit on and all straps secured) If your looking to use it as a carry piece you would be better served by the G23.

Streichers has Glock police trade in right now, both Glock 22's and 23's. Price on them are $300 and the ones they had in the case two days ago look really good. They told me they had some more trade ins coming this week.

Here is their web site, they are located on hwy 55, 2 stop lights west of 169 on the south side of the road, kinda behind the new parking ramp.

Yup, Glock is not my first choice either, even taking the 1911 platform off the list, Glock would still not be my first choice.
I think there are many others that would serve my needs better. But with that said, if you prefer a Glock, good choice for you, it is a solid weapon and has a proven track record.

Bought a 17 from them awhile back for 300.....321 out the door. Sent it to Glock who went through it completely (cost me 40 to have an FFL ship it)

So, bottom line......... 361 total for a factory refurb. Beats 449. :)

It's not a bad price for the night sights and third mag. I'd be more interested in what the "special serial number and slide markings" are. That may make it worth the extra price.

22's were still there, Some Jerk came in 20 minutes before I got there that day and bought all three of the remaining 23's.

When I was there, the sales person also told me that they had some more coming in in the next week or two, but I do not know if that batch includes any 23's.

Which generation of Glock were they? My neighbor asked them to call they did and he got a nice 1st Gen G22 for $275.

That said, I'm generally a Glock guy, but if Streichers is still selling their M&P to us for $450 with NS and 3 magazines, NIB, well Cabelas is no deal at at all. Also, M&P now are coming with a coupon for 2 free mags , and since they list for $42 and sell for like $35, that's a good deal. Holsters, etc are getting easier to find and the Smiths with a trigger job or even without are excellent defensive and competition guns.

I think the 22's that were there were 2nd generation. My G22 is about 10 years old and it is a Gen 2. I didn't look too close because I was there to get a G27 and they were out of those as well. :(

Also the 3rd gens have a sturdier frame that can accept a 357Sig barrel. Nothing wrong with the 1st or 2nd for .40 but having the option of changing caliber with just the barrel is nice.
