+1 on the EAA recommendation. I had two of them, which I am repeatedly kicking myself for getting rid of (both of which went to forum members that are probably laughing and pointing as they read this.....).

I almost bought one in .38 super at the Gunstop the other day..........

I love my 75B, shoots like a breeze, dream-like 1911-esque ergos. Wonderfully reliable and widely highly spoken of around the world.
And from what I understand they really put CZ's through the wringer in the prerequisite field testing

here's an alright thread on CZ's

I'll go along with Strad and SS and give another recommendation for the EAA line of CZ knock offs. I have a Tanfoglio 9mm, which is part of the EAA family and is another CZ75 compact copy. The gun is extremely well built and durable. It has also been 100% reliable and is one of the more accurate pistols I have shot. A better shooter than the Sigs, Berettas and similar that I have owned.

The ONLY downside on the gun is that it's not a Glock.

Other than early magazine issues, I have had great luck with my 40 caliber Rami.
Very compact and high quality.

I love the CZ 75 series. I've got 2 friends who have 75 Bs - both shoot lights out. My CZ P-01 is the compact, alloy frame version of the CZ 75 with a decocker. I love it - fits my hand great and is very accurate.

I will be buying a CZ75 SP-01 in the future, or possible a CZ 85 Combat. Great guns all around.
