S & W 5903 or close cousin

Being New to the handgun world, I have been shooting many pistols, and feel the S & W 5903 is what I am liking. What are your thoughts and opinions if I plan to purchase this gun? OR what are some close makes and models in the 9mm that compare?

If you like the all-metal frame DA/SA pistols, you owe it to yourself to try a Beretta 92 or Taurus clone of the same.

We (it's the wifes) have a 1970's vintage model 59, and that is a fun gun to shoot. I also have a 4003 and it's a very nice shooter too.
