It's is all about placement.

If everyone is ok with this we could melt down all our handguns EXCEPT the 10mm ones. The ammo manufacturers could then only make that one round and it would be far cheaper to shoot then the two dozen pistol cartridges we have now. For the wheel gunner's I'm sure charter will come out with a 10mm revolver in the next 50 years....

Expense is something that should be considered. Not having a reloading set-up one can practice far more with a 9mm then the other two. If money was no object I would like to shoot the .45acp as well, but it costs nearly TWICE as much. That's 1/2 the practice.

reload 45's - pay for your set up in like 3-6 months. load up 185 powder puffs for training and full power 230's for over half price of store bought. even cheaper than 9mm all day long.

i got set up and love it. i'm never more than a foot from a 45 at all times. it's a good feelin :D
i do what i can, where i'm needed, and i ask so little in return. i'm a true humanitarian fueled by rainbows and whiskey. you should be so lucky to know me...

Smaller?

9 millimeters = 0.354330709 inches
.38 inch = 9.65200 millimeters

And lengthwise .38 is like a quarter inch longer.

One refers to the groove diameter, the other refers to the land diameter.

9mm, .38Spl, .357mag, .380ACP bullets are practically all the same diameter.

You people are just trying to confuse the issue. That .65mm is what makes the .38 clearly superior to the pansy Euro 9mm. It's bigger, and that is obviously better.

The order of preference is redheads, brunettes then blonds, natural of course, trust me!

I haven't had a chance to discuss this with her, but I'm sure once she reads it we will be having a discussion.......... :?

That .65mm difference doesn't exist. Both cartridges use .35 cal projectiles. Yes, the fact that it's called .38 Special is confusing. The actual difference in diameter is about two thousandths of an inch, depending on the bullet. I can't tell if you're confused, or just trolling. Maybe both?
