I'd buy a G17, 19 or 26, and spend the remaining $75.00 on ammo, dinner, booze, or what-have-you.

Seriously, if you are considering a GLOCK, don't ever pay "retail."

You can find new GLOCK pistols in any caliber in the $400-450 range almost everywhere. I just bought a new G26 from a member of this forum for $425.00.

I posted a WTB for a G26 in the Firearms forum a while ago and received many responses ranging from nearly $600 (good luck with that, I'm not a f*cking idiot) to low five hundreds (also ridiculous).

personally, I'd also buy a glock. Loved my G19, wish I still had it. 17 or 26 is fine, I just like the size compromise of the 19, think it functions well as a full size range toy and a concealable carry gun. This coming from a guy who carries a G21 (not much difference in size according to me.)

They don't make 1911's in 9mm. It just isn't right. So 1911 platform is out. (take a joke all you 2 centers.)

If it wasn't a glock it'd probably be a XD or M&P, because if I knew how much I love my Glock, but Glocks somehow didn't exist, I'd try and get as close to a Glock as I could ;)

CZ 75B, or a clone. The list of CZ clones is too long to list. Just be careful of the EAA Witness in (mm. A lot of them are large frame and have Mag issues.

HI Point.

With the remaining $380 you can go buy a nice used EAA witness in a real caliber. :?

Or..... Try to find one of these used.

I'd buy (and carry) one if I owned one.

Yeah, they are a hoot to shoot, small enough to easily conceal yet large enough to easily handle. I sure wish I had one.

Moon clips are a little tough to find for them, but they're out there.

Don't overlook the M&P 9mm. They are very nice smooth shooting 9mm's. They can be picked up lightly used for $400ish.
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?
