The Spanish did just that. They shoot great, and can be had on the used market for cheap.

That's not a 1911 for about a dozen reasons. That's a 1911 shaped object at best.
If you're reading this, there are better than even odds you are a d-bag.

Don't be to concerned about size. Yes larger guns are harder to conceal. I'm not that big & I carry a G17, I have other too. Most people are totally oblivious to what's around them. As long as you dress appropriately it shouldn't be a problem.

2beer try and make it to the Gopher next Saturday. Maybe some of the people there can offer some advice. Trust me you'll see all shapes and sizes, especially after the buffet. :D They have bacon. :yippee:

See the thread on what I bought for a plastic BUG. $335 from CDNN, holds 18 rounds, weighs 25 ounces, runs nice. Despite the labeling, it's actually a contract manufactured EAA.

True. But these two are just about as close as you can get, and still be 9mm. The Spanish jobbie is far and away the cheaper option.

Think I would prefer the Armscor for a 1911in 9mm, If I went above the $500 limit I might prefer my Hi Powers.

How about a nice gaudy Hawaiian shirt over a kilt?

(luckily for the Gopher crowd next weekend, I don't have a kilt! and it might clash with the Carbon15 holster - if that's the rig I choose this time around...)

With the remaining $380 you can go buy a nice used EAA witness in a real caliber. :?
