Didn't you read justamonkey's post? it's my post is off topic and doesn't beling in this thread!

Besides, coming up on 700 rounds of lead through the Glock, and I still have all my fingers, a functional firearm, and no leading. ;)
If you're reading this, there are better than even odds you are a d-bag.

I will certainly give 25 rounds a test and look for signs of leading.

Which I have done now, several times. Then it was 50 rounds between checks..... yesterday it was 100 rounds, no leading. I'm no longer worried about it. As long as it's cleaned regularly, I am not concerned.

This is my opinion, I am not advocating anything especially buying a Glock. They suck. Get a 1911. They are much, much cooler. Really. Glocks are poo.

I own both ... I like both, but I like the 1911 better. The Glock will shoot loads of peanut butter if that is what I put in it ... so +1 for the Glock and why it may be my choice of a summer carry weapon. Damn things shoot ANYTHING.

I carry one every day. That way if push comes to shove, and "The Man" takes my firearm it will be the piece of poo, and not my lovely, prized, coveted, priceless, perfect, beautiful, irreplacable, fantastic, shiny 1911.

(let's get this sucker to 30 pages.)

Actually, I subscribe to that logic too, but only when I go to NOLA. My 4 figure 50 GI stays home and my $350 EAA 10mm Witness goes with. If a NOLA cop wants to rip off that gun and let me walk, it's worth the price, and 14+1 rounds of CorBon Powerball ammo will still deal with practically anything you might encounter.

That being said, the Glock is the only other gun that you can get a 50 GI CONVERSION kit for. It's probably ungodly top heavy and kicks like a mule, but it's available. Now if they made a 50 GI conversion kit for a SIG stainless P220 conversion, I might think about it.....

I also carry plastic every day. The government won't get my good guns that are at the bottom of lake Superior because well, they are at the bottom of the lake. (The deepest part)
