I should get into this reloading thing. LOL. I'm still new to this.

Where can I find some Federal HSTs or Winchester OBDX1 (9mm) ? Places I've found are on backorder. I really don't want to order online.

Anyone?

Ever since the big ammo panic of 2009/2010 our wal mart has had plenty of 9mm. 3 drfferent flavors from 9.99-11.99 for 50 rnds
Burnouts, big horsepower, and things that go bang!

I've been to a bunch of walmarts and they've been picked over. One of them had 2 boxes of the WWB which I regret not getting because I was stuck on the idea of getting the cheaper boxes of federal.

Guys,
As many of you know, we are moving this spring/summer to our new home in Colorado. I am getting rid of lots of stuff so we don't have to move it (stay tuned for some announcements on free or ridiculously priced stuff in the next month or so), so in the midst of my selling I sold my 9mm M&P Pro to one of the guys on the forum. Other than a 9mm carbine I only occasionally shoot, I have no need for the kind of stockpiles of 9mm ammo that I currently have on hand anymore...and I found out this week that the moving company cannot move it by law. So I either have to carry it to Colorado myself or sell the 9mm ammo.
I have about 2500 rounds of new wwb which I stockpiled for my competition shooting. You can contact me by PM only. The wwb I will sell for a hair less than walmart, but you no tax or shipping and you can have as many of the boxes as you want so long as you want a bunch (I won't dole it out box by box).

i usually buy from gander mountain. i just wait until they run a sale on the Remington UMC 9mm Luger 115-Gr. FMJ (49.99 for 250) and on top of that i got a few $10 gander bucks cards so i end up getting the 250 pack for $40 plus tax. the only down side to it is that i can only pick up one box at a time.
i think gander has the sale going until the end of the month but this time around the discount is via mail in rebate.

Watchout selling reloads, even if you say it's components only unless it was made by someone with the appropriate FFL.

There's also a $20 off 100 if you buy 2 boxes. Great deal. Just ordered 2 boxes.

I'd like to see what they say when someone says they are buying .357 mag for a rifle.

It's a company form, and I have no clue what they do with it.

Just to show you how important the process is, the last time I went to Fleet Farm, the two clerks in the gun department were so busy, one just said, "Screw-it. I don't have time to fill ou the form and bag it. Here, just take it up front and tell the checkout I told you it was okay." He handed me the boxes of ammo. At the checkout no one questioned me. This is standard procedure across the river at Farm & Fleet in WI. All the handgun ammo is out on a shelf and you can help yourself and no one asks for an ID at the checkout.

FYI, at Fleet Farm I pay around $23 for 100-round boxes of WWB 9mm 115gr FMJ. Farm & Fleet is about a buck cheaper. I've gotten it for about 2 bucks cheaper yet on sale. My local Walmart has a comparable price, but no one is ever manning the gun counter any time I go there.

+1
I'm a big fan of Palmetto, although their shipping lately has been painfully slow. And why is it I can't find Federal ammunition locally for what I can get it for online? Even with a 12 dollar shipping fee I still come out ahead if I order it online. Seriously, the Federal plant is 4 miles from me, yet to get the best price I end up ordering from a shop North Carolina.

All I shoot in my 9mm and all my other handguns is reloads. I am a longtime reloader and find that the relaxing time spent at the reloading bench is just as much fun as shooting them!
