One in the gun.

That's the way I roll. However, I have been meaning to carry a spare mag for my Glock 27 because awhile back I dropped it on my garage floor and it landed right on the grip and the mag came apart and rounds went flying everywhere. At that point, I had a gun that was only good for one round (chambered) and whatever rounds I could pick up off the floor and insert manually. Not a good scenario IMO.
