It seemed the only way to prove to you, once and for all, that Glocks are simply inferior, in every way imaginable, to 1911's. Image

Have you seen the spelling and grammar of the guy maintaining your guns? You shouldn't be overly surprised that something like this happened.

to be fair, the maintenance on the guns is... same as mine.
Once a year you scrape the crap out of it, whether it needs it or not. MAYBE run a rod down the barrel if it has seen a few matches.

Mine don't blow up, at least in 40sw.

Looks to me like a simple mag catch issue. Change it out and you will be fine.

Had this been to the factory for the recall from a while ago?

Well geez, why can't you use that gun in the Open class?? The barrel is blown open, the slide is blown open, and the trigger is blown open. Looks like a full race Open class gun to me!! :P

Serious question: what EXACTLY was the load you were shooting that blew up your gun? I would like to know, as I don't reload 40, but have had numerous discussions with people who don't quite get why a high-pressure cartridge has less leeway for error than a low-pressure one.
It turns out that what you have is less important than what you do with it.

the only powder that I will use is Blue Dot in 40 There is little room for error with the 40 for sure - nowadays people are trying to make it into something that it was never meant to be - a 10mm.

You want a 10mm you buy a 10mm. You want a 41 Mag - go out and get that. Dont try to make the 40 into a 41 mag.... Works out poorly.
REMEMBER THE BRAVE 343 - WE WILL NEVER FORGET FDNY

Okay!! It's debug time!!

1. What kind of powder measure were you using?
2. What kind of scale were you using to set up the powder measure to throw the correct amount?
3. Did you weigh every charge with the scale after throwing it, or just throw charges into the cases once you got it set up??
4. Is your powder scale pan plastic or metal??
5. Have you ever loaded a full box of 50 rounds with this particular load while weighing every charge, so you can see how much variability you get??

Serious answer: ... in all likelihood, it was 10.0gr Tit-E-group behind a 165gr JHP.

Couldn't say for sure. It was 'sposed to be 5.0gr. I'd never knowingly load 10.0gr Tit-E-group in ... well ... anything.

In fact, it was a load from a bag I had filled about 2yr - 3yr ago. I grabbed it so it wouldn't be settin' on the shelf no more.

Not to say I was doin' anything particularly different, than what I do now.

Every once in a while something goes kitty-wampus on the press ... and I gotta clear it out 'er whatever. Musta doubled it 'fore it indexed. Image

Oh ya ... here's a couple new pics ... I got the bbl out ... from the full-gun pic, that piece of bbl stickin' out, I had to rip it off 'fore I could get the bbl out ... ya'll see it missing in the pics below ... as is one side of the case ... apparently having become somewhat "one" with that piece of bbl I ripped off ...
