I have a brand new XD still in the box/case that I won at a Wisconsin state shoot,,,would you like to fondle it?

I think the XD series is a very good handgun, just never had a need to shoot the one I won. :|

My first XD was also my 1st firearm that I own. A 5" tactical XD 9mm with nite sights that I picked up at Bill's in Robbinsdale. Great firearm, don't regret it.
I learn more from mistakes than from success, though given the option I prefer to learn from the mistakes of others.

Did you modify the extension?

They just came out with XDM ones today if you're interested... I ordered 3 this morning. What do you use for a holster?

I modded the Pearce extension that I have, but will probably pick up a few for the 3 extra mags that I got for free with their recent "Gear Up" promotion. Makes a big difference in the feel.

I can get rid of it for you. My disposal fee is only $10.

got an XDm 9mm at Bill's South. after a year and a half with a used Ruger P85, you can only imagine how fun that was. absolute delight to shoot and carries very comfortably.

I have a .45 xd and a .40 xd tactical, aka, the 5 inch version. The .45 has been claimed by the daughter and the .40 is a fun gun to shoot

I've bought a few XDs over the years;
40 sc
9mm sc
9mm tac
45 c
Fun, easy to shoot. The 9mm tac/5" was my favorite, until I switched sights to Heinie straight 8-s, and had a Springer trigger installed. Both the Heinies, and the Springer trigger are a bit of a disappointment(the trigger remains so, after I had it back in the shop after thew initial install. I guess you live and learn.
The 9mm sc with tru-glo tfo sights, and a Powder River trigger is my current carrry gun.
I'll probably put tru glo-s and one of the Powder River triggers on the 45c.
ETA: typos corrected.

My first handgun was a XD9, and later I picked up a XD9SC. I still have the SC, but ended up selling the other to a buddy to help fund another purchase. The SC has trijicon night sights and pearce grip extensions.

Just picked up a XD9 (standard size?) for Sam. I need more 3 mags for him- where's the cheapest place to get some?
