I own the XD-M 9mm. love her.
It's no 1911, but it shoots equal to/better than a Glock, and holds more ammo+costs less.

I push this gun for my security officers as their duty weapon.

I've put more than 2500 rounds down range with mine in last 18 months, and i seriously don't recall a single malfunction.
Big fan of the Classics.. 1911 and Ar-15

Very happy owner of an XD9 Tactical. I love the 1911 grip angle and it's been perfect for USPSA (though sadly it's been way too long since I've been able to make a match). I had some TruGlo TFO sights put on which I regret since I've had some quality issues with them. The gun itself, though, has been great. One tip: keep it clean because I've found that I have fail to feed issues when it's dirty.

I have a variety pack of XDs... An XDSC .40, XD(m) 9mm and XD .45 compact tactical (5" short grip). I have had zero problems with any of them. The .45 is really nice with the shorter grip. I added a Don's solid guide rod to the XD(m) and the added weight makes a big difference. No complaints on the SC either. This was my carry gun for a little over a year.

XD9sc myself - maybe... 3000 rounds down the stubby pipe? Never had a single malfunction.

Though, I apparently got an older model, the locking block started chipping.
Sent it back, hope that it comes back all fixed.
