I especially love it when the owner acts like it's never happened with their gun before  . I can't really think of a specific brand that fails more than any other. Cept maybe Glock, but that's not fair when half the guns on the line are Glocks.

Yeah, I'm sure GLOCK pistols are right up there...

Not my experience, though.

Show up and shoot USPSA.

Every kind of gun has problems eventually.

Anyone want to put their 1911 up against my G37 at OGC some weekend?

I'll run the damned thing over with my truck, are you willing?

If reliability is a factor, how many 1911's have went KABOOM with factory loads? :stirthepot:

I would, and the hell with running them over with a truck...
we will flip a coin and the winner shoots first..
I shoot your Glock with my 1911/.45 ACP......
you shoot my 1911 with your Glock/minne-me .45.....
well see which one runs............

Reliability isn't simply limited to the firearm itself. I have bought supposedly "jamomatic" firearms at dirt cheap prices and ended up with excellent firearms.

I use quality ammo to perform reliability tests (I use cheap ammo in plinking guns) and factory magazine or quality magazines. I don't have any issues with my firearms failing at high rates when this combination is used.

But if you are asking me to pick a brand new out of the box firearm going into a warzone......I would pick a Glock if my only choices are 1911 vs Glocks.

You can't ask owners if they prefer a 1911 or Glock or whatever guns because a lot of people I see discussing these issues have only owned/own one type, manufacturer etc.
It is like getting several sports car review from someone who has only owned 1 Ford Taurus and 1 Chevy Camaro.

I'm immune to this. When you're done harassing me, go get the 10MM lite folks or just get a ******** life.
