help with revolver suggestion

Postby LarryFlew on Wed Jun 29, 2011 5:54 pm

Have a nephew that is currently working with the DNR in WI but just got a new job in Alaska. He is looking for a .357 with longer barrel like 4 or 5. Suggestions on brand type etc since I'm not a revolver guy at all?

Ruger GP100, S&W Model 19 has the advantage of being light and carries 6 rounds.

if i have to be the one to say it, i will. Taurus.
he can get a new 357 with a 4" barrel and 6 round cylinder for under $500 on Gunbroker, all day long. Stainless too.

i love my .357 Taurus, great gun. i have a blued 6" barrel, 6 shot cylinder, double action obviously. it also has a factory compensator. never have i had any issues with this gun. my dad is the first owner of it, bought it new in '94ish. it's taken 2 deer, and i hope to make that number bigger...
