Holy ****! $700 for something Croatian-made that Springfield slaps their name on? The street price should be about $550 on these.

Unless I'm remembering wrong only the original XD's are designed and made in Croatia, the XDm's are American designed from the basis of the XD's and I think they are made here too. I remember this was the reason the XDM 45 uses the same mags as the XD 45 because it was made after Springfield came into the picture.

My XDM 9mm says made in Croatia on it. It is a year old.

All XD's/XDm's are made in Croatia.

In the rest of the world, it's known as an HS2000.

Yep, all made about 4 hours from the Glock factory

The XDms had some design input from Springfield and US engineers. But they are made in the same Croatian factories as the other XDs/HS2000s.

I own one and have about 300 Rounds through it. I bought it at Capr's a couple weeks ago. I like it. It's my first XDm. I also have a XD Tactical (and a Service, and a Compact...). I think I still shoot the XD better than the XDM, but I should probably put a few hundred more rounds through it before I say one is better than the other. The sights are nice, trigger is a little better than the stock XD, but not as nice as the Springer Precision kit that is in my Tactical.
