Which Gander Mountain has them for sale? Haven't been able to find one at all.

Don't know about Duck Hill, but got a sale flyer from Cabela's a couple days ago that had it listed at $399. Sale starts this coming Thursday, so I'd expect they'd have at least some in by then.

Went down to GunStop Friday afternoon and saw one at either $359 or $369. Since I don't really care to be a Ruger Beta tester, didn't pay as much attention to the price as I did to doing an eyeball comparison against everything surrounding it in the case.

Boberg Arms XR9 Shorty

A buddy of mine is planning on picking one up, defiantly reminds me a little bit of the R9 and the Micro Eagle. The maker is claiming its got allot less recoil then others as well as better terminal performance than competitors due to the slightly longer barrel. Kind of cool the guy is doing this from White Bear Lake MN, I’m excited to try one out someday, maybe pass the LCP down to the wife.

If anyone knows anything more about this pistol please post (only saw a few mentions on here awhile back), maybe this guy is a local joke and I’m out of the loop, at any rate it looks cool and is priced well

The XR9S is the real deal, shot the prototype last fall - shoots soft for a pocket 9mm, but hits with the same energy as a larger Glock 26 or Ruger SR9c which all have similar barrel lengths (3.35 to 3.5"). It's taken a while for Boberg to bring the XR9S to market, but he's taken his time to make sure that things get done right the first time. Just saw the pistol featured in the "Top-10" of the 2011 Pocket Pistols Buyer's Guide (p. 92) on news stands now. Assuming Boberg pulls this off, his product is going to revolutionize a market that's been largely unchanged in the last 100 years. More info on his website: http://www.bobergarms.com/

I know this is a little off topic, but had to answer the question since Boberg is a local MN guy.

I recieved a new LC9 just over a week ago and it is already on its way back to Ruger.

My first impression was great. The gun looked well made. It feels great and is as small as I had hoped for. It shot its first 200 flawless rounds without a hick-up. I had five different loads through it and it never complained about any.

Today I went to the range and after 10 rounds the magazine popped out and will no longer stay seated. Every time the slide moves the mag pops out. :x

Hopefully this was just a problem with this particular gun and not the whole series gearing up for a recall.

I got mine a few weeks ago and really like it. I also own a LCP, which is great, but it a little tiny in my big bear paws. I kept the LCP and got a LC9 also. I like the LC9 due to its larger size and how it fits in my hand comfortably and can get all of my fingers around the grip. The recoil is like any other 9mm, and the sights are not too bad for a small compact. I can hit in the 8 ring within 10 yards 47/50 rounds. The trigger reset is not as long as the LCP and it is a smooth trigger pull.

I like that the LC9 has an external safety and that the slide can not move while the safety is on. The slide release is just starting to break in and right now I need to pull back the slide a small amount to release the slide release. I checked on this and that is how these pistols were made so that they are CA compliant. Its fine, just something to get to used too. Overall, I really like the pistol. It is accurate and will continue to be a great carry gun for me. I own a IWB holster, leather belt slide holster, and Fobus KTP-11 hard side plastic holster for this pistol.

Great pistol!

I'm looking to get a CC firearm. I'm looking at the LC9. Is there anyone who would be willing to let me fire theirs? I would pay for ammo, range time and whatever else needed. I want to get a feel for it. Also, if I were to purchase the LC9, I was looking to get the Cross Breed mini tuck for it. Anyone have a mini tuck I could look at and feel?

The LC9 and the Kel-Tec PF-9 would make good rental guns at Bills.

if you're looking at the lc9, take a hard hard look at the pf9. 150 or so cheaper, and a darned nice pocket 9. put 200 thru mine this last weekend, without so much as a hiccup. not as snappy as you'd think, and 150$ buys a LOT of practice ammo.

The giant red "Chamber Loaded!" flag turned me off.....along with the mag safety (can be removed, but would you want to use a gun in a shooting that had a safety modified?) and the slide safety.

Guns with lawyer designed features scream "cheesy" to me, but that's just my two cents
