S&W 686 6" SS - possible trade?

I'm considering trading a beautiful S&W .357 for a compact 9MM. This S&W only has ~1500 rounds thru it, bought it new years ago,it just sits in it's case.
What compact 9 do you think I could trade even up for it? From my research, the S&W is worth around $450-$500 Looks like a used Kahr PM9 is outta reach, maybe a Glock 26? a nice .380? Hmmm....
