I've made the switch!

Postby Paul on Mon Sep 26, 2011 3:51 pm

I picked up my new duty weapon today... A 4th Gen Glock 17. I'll now be 100% 9mm for all of my personal/work guns.

Just have to sell my RTF G22 and the transition will be complete.

Have any 40 brass just laying around that you don't need anymore?

now go have a cookie. :P
Out of curiousity, does it have the monstrous Gen4 trigger? My G19 trigger is pretty horrendous even with the updated connector 5, measures in at 8lbs 9oz. just about ready to call charlie vanek and have him do some magic on it to make it more tolerable

I have a 4th Gen 19, which has a horrible trigger. I have switched out the trigger and connector without much improvement.

This 17 is better, but not nearly as good as my 3rd gen models.

Well if you want to get rid of it let me know. I am trying to stock up on 40 brass. I am also doing my best to make sure Vrrooooom doesn't get any brass. Also if you have any scrap you don't want I take all the money I get from scrapping brass and give it to the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester.

You bunch of Mary's talking about nice triggers and GLOCKS in the same topic should be ashamed of yourselves.

Its a GLOCK. It hits a man sized target under stress in capable hands.

I have nothing to add otherwise, except I wish more members here would sell G21's instead of this smaller junk.

not nice triggers, acceptable triggers. I am 100% with Paul, the Gen4 triggers suck much more than the previous generation triggers.

Just curious, what made you go with a gen 4 instead of running the gen 3 you already have?

I didn't have a full size in 9mm.... And I like the new texture for a duty/carry gun.

There's a later ejector
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?
