Painting Glocks?

Can you have a Glock frame and/or slide "painted" or powder coated? I see some of these OD Glocks and want do do up my G19. Or do people just buy the OD ones from Glock?

Well not my style, but I get the idea.

I'm thinking either an OD green or a Desert Tan?

This stuff? Does anybody sell Duracoat locally?

Or

Thanks I did not know about Duracoat.

Anybody use this stuff ever?

Ahhh thats exactly what I want. How did you do it? Did you buy an airbrush set up, or did you use the aerosol sprayer kit they have?
I assume you have to strip guts out of the gun, before you paint it? Any other tips or suggestions would be great.

I Duracoated a shotgun in OD green. It turned out really good. I was very impressed with both the finish an durability.

I did order the EZ finishing kit but the Airbrush wasn't great, mine made it's way to the trash pretty fast. I went to the local hobby store and for the same price I got something that worked much better.

I ordered from Lauer direct. http://www.lauerweaponry.com/index.cfm
I love it when a plan comes together!

Thanks for the review. I will probably try the Shake N Spray kit. What did you pick up at the hobby store?

I've seen a thread that also showcases the dip camo kits, I always wonder if the finish is truly durable with either Duracote or the dip camo.

Good luck and post some picts after your done - it would be cool to see the results.
