Glock mag extension install help?

I picked up a glock +2 magazine extension for a g26 while checking out Element Arms for the first time. I guess I should have clarified clearly what I wanted but when I asked for a magazine extension all he gave me was a genuine Glock +2 piece. In looking at install videos it seems I also need a insert piece to lock it on as the stock pieces do not fit. Or I'm doing it wrong which is possible, this is my first time lol. Can someone clarify? I should have researched this a bit better before hand, I'm assuming another trip to Element is in my future?

Yes, there is a special insert that is needed to accommodate the Glock +2 mag extension.
