Remingtons enhanced 1911

so has anyone got the chance to shoot or own one of these. i was skimming over the guns and ammo magazine and saw this. i really like enhanced style 1911s with upgraded sights, triggers, and beavertail safety and whatnot. says in the article that they put a couple different types of ammo through it, mostly self defense stuff and all of it shot sub 3" groups at 25 yards on a rest. i think thats pretty good. it looks cool, has a elevation-only adjustable rear sight ( i think i read that right) and a red fiber front sight. retail in the magazine was over 900 but looked on gunbroker to see the real price and there going from 700-800 bones. i think thats fair. my recent funds went to an m&p pro 9mm so i wont be buying this anytime soon but ill keep it in the back of my mind. what say you all? i think it looks pretty sexy myself. but there may be underlying stuff people may want to know.

I saw it at the Shot show and it was really nice. Nice fit and looked like a quality build.

I haven't seen one up here in Fargo-Moorhead, though I did get a chance to fondle an R1 and I was pretty impressed. A lot of cast 1911s have a blocky front strap and the lines were cleaner, it felt smooth, and it sort of reminded me of how the FS is on a Colt. I was also prepared to hate the sights on the R1 but they really jump out at you and I'd like to give one a whirl in the near future.

The Enhanced looks nice, love to try one of those too but who am I kidding, I don't plan on resting until I shoot every 1911 I can get my mitts on.
