I fired my new one for the first time today. I too sanded down the stock trigger a bunch, smoothed out the trigger guard, and sanded down those horrible ridges on the front and rear of the grip. I put 70 rounds through it without a hiccup. I was shooting about 12" low with it at 7 yards, can't really figure that one out. I also had my XD 9m sub compact with me and was pretty much right on with it...guess I need to shoot it some more.

probably...I did shoot my XD just fine but it's trigger isn't nearly as long or hard. I'll reserve judgement until I can shoot it more. I have been snap-capping a lot at home, hopefully that helps.

I'm admittedly not a great shot with a pistol. The trigger on the PF9 is not a nice, light SA trigger that's for sure. I knew this going into it, I bought it to be a carry pistol, so I appreciate the trigger for what it is...a safety. I'd be curious if anyone has a 9mm laser sight I could stick in it to backup my thoughts that it's me and not the pistol? Next time I plan to shoot it off a rest as well.

With a small carry pistol, along with it's long trigger pull, bad shooting habits are accentuated, which, for a right handed shooter, would put your shots very low and to the left. Just the opposite for a left handed shooter.

My dad has himself a PF9. We had some serious troubles with it at first. My first time out with it I could not help but drop the mag every round. Also had a number of failures with feeding and ejecting. The next time out every round was followed by a failure. I had given up and just started shooting my USP. My dad contacted Kel Tec and they sent a new recoil spring along with some other parts. Finally when we took it out last week we had it working. Way more kick then my .40, however not one failure and I think we did at least 160rds through it. After a couple of shots I was able to very accurately place my shots. Still not something I myself would use as a carry, however sans those issues it is one nice firearm for the price.

Had mine for a year now and like it very much. It's a great summer carry. This North woods trigger interests me alot. The stock trigger is the only part I don't like. Getting my finger in the trigger guard requires pulling it back slightly to get a good purchase on it. I'm also going to check into this +1 mag extension. Thanks for all the PF9 updates.

What pocket y'all carrying in...front or rear.

Part of the beautyof the Pf-9 to me is that it's just a mild bump up from the Kel-Tec .380 which was carried in right rear pocket.

40% more power, no increase in hassle.

WITH the +1 extension it fits nicely in back jeans pocket. The grip and the tail end of the slide can be seen IF you're looking for a pistol and I find it quick and easy to draw...possibly easier than the .380.

Don't get me wrong - I still have my P3AT (w/crimson trace), but the PF9 in a pocket holster is just exactly the right size for pocket carry. And, it's a lot easier to handle than the P3AT. The PF9 really hit's the Price/Size/Power sweet spot for me. With the frequency I carry it, I've considered shelling out for an IWB - but the pocket holster has sufficed thus far.

I put another 60 or 70 rounds through my PF-9 yesterday, groups were much better today. I'll attribute that to shooting outside :)

Just ran 50 rounds of blazer aluminum though my PF9. No problems! Love this gun!
