Keep her busy with Womens work
painting the house
waxing the Car
shampoing the carpet,
she won,t have time to snoop around in mans business,,,,of course if that doesn,t work wrap the gun in a 10,000 mink coat and ask her to take her pick

I don't know about that guys. LOL. She will definitely notice the huge transaction in the bank account... she's also pregnant so it'll be a nightmare of how angry she'd be... And I though of her jumping on her PMS cycle and running me over with it every month was bad.. this will be worse!

Thant reminds me of this video

Solution #10 - offer to buy baby stuff, insist that 1. you pay for it all cash, 2. she stay home and rest. Just keep skimming a little off the top each trip, yes it is torture but you are helping the family and yourself :D

Solution #11 - Show her how that Coonan will appreciate over the next 18+ years and will be worth more by the time your offspring is ready for college.

Now the hard part... how to convince the wife. LOL.

Another option is to buy it and sneak it into the safe and let it sit there for a few months. When she notices it calmly let her know that it's been there for months. Make it her fault that she's not more attentive.

OR

Buy it "for her". Tell her that you want something that would be comfortable for her to shoot and remind her that it is the same bullet diameter as a tiny little 9mm. Be careful with this one though. If she completely buys into it you'll never get to shoot "her gun".

OR

Buy it, make no excuses and make up the couch.

I tried version two and three. Both failed miserably. Version two, she handled a Beretta 92FS, and initially loved it. Now she hates it, was out shooting my nice new SIG P226 Elite Dark and loves that......I get to shoot the beretta know. Version three, decided to celebrate getting my PTC and went out and bought a Sig P232. She still hasn't forgiven me about that one, and that was a year ago. Also, she loves to shoot the P232 and is considering getting her PTC (which means I'll lose the other SIG as well!!).

OTOH, she has no interest in shooting things that make a much bigger bang than the 380 and 9mm. So this might be a safe bet for me.......

The purpose of a firearm in a defensive situation is to make the other guy leak from holes he was not born with. Your job is to install those orifices for him.

Buy the gun, explain that given the choice between a gambling, hooker or drug addiction it's really the most cost effective of vices and you're really doing it for her benefit.

Bringing your A-game motorboat skills the day before you pick it up might help as well.

Yeah, it's a heavy gun. Shot the exact same loads from my SP101 which weighs roughly half what the Coonan does, and all I can say is I'm glad I added the cushy Hogue Monogrip.
