The steel cleaning stuff works great on reloading dies and gun parts, it won't work miracles on heavily deposited gunk but if you give things a decent once-over scrub to knock off the big chunks it does the job.
Okay thanks Ill have to try to find some tomarrow, going to the range Sat to to put my M&P through a major workout so want to start with a real clean and lubed weapon!

Caterpillar brand radiator cleaner is my ultrasonic solution of choice. You can buy it at your local Cat dealer and a gallon is way cheaper than the Hornady stuff.

lol might offend the Cummings I have now pulling in there lol, but didnt think of that for gun cleaning, would be good shouldnt strip all the oil from the metal.
