Sure it can, Taurus 738. I'll take one over an LCP. Both have a lifetime warranty and issues. Taurus has last round slide lock, feels and shoots better for me and costs less. I can't see spending a lot of money on a .380, as for me it's a last ditch gun when nothing else fits the bill - still needs to be reliable, but does not need to be pretty or fancy. I love my Kahr's, but there are just times when it's just more convenient to throw a small .380 in a Smartcarry or pocket and call it good, knowing the gun can get the job done if necessary. I'd love to have the Kahr P380, however unless I come across one that's been broken in and tested for $350 I'll stick with my little TCP, or teesiepee if we need cute names.
In comparison, the TCP has a much better trigger pull, very smooth and consistent vs the LCP which is gritty and harder the farther it's pulled. The LCP also stings a lot more than the TCP and doesn't fit my hand nearly as well. The only thing I can attribute to this is the slightly longer handle as they're both about the same size otherwise.
Personal preference, try as many as you can before purchasing - however to say the LCP can't be beat is not necessarily true, for me - the TCP beats it in all aspects.
