I love my Sig P238 it is much more comfortable over my dads LCP and easier to control even with the pierce grip extension on the LCP. If you regularly carry a 1911 the P238 will be the perfect BUG. If you regularly carry something that doesn't have a thumb safety, then the LCP may be better as you will not have to get used to the P238 thumb safety.

If anyone is wanting to give the P238 a try I would be willing to meet someone at a range in my neck of the woods ( i.e. BV pistol, Lakeville Gander...) and let them give it a spin as long as you bring your own factory loads.

I like the LCP. It has been reliable and is well made. For a 380 pocket gun, I'd rather save the dough and skip the Kahr.

The Micro DE is a turd. It's way too heavy compared to the rest of the field.

Price is what you pay and quality is what you get. Buy once cry one.

I have an LCP, been dead nuts reliable in my hands. My GF not so much, she was able to get it FTE (limp wrists). I dont carry the LCP and dont think I will.

If you are serious about carrying a 380 get the one you can shoot the best.

I like the LCP for low price at good quality & weight. I carry the micro desert eagle because it's "substantially" smaller which gives a couple more options for carry. Buyer beware, it is heavy and it can give you a nice slide bite if you have large hands or hold it improperly.

for a mere $800-$900, a drop in the bucket compared to the average pocket pistol.

Do you own/carry one? If so, what has your impression of it been, and how do you feel it compares to other pocket pistols, given the price difference?

I dig the LCP's with the chrome or nickel slide (Talo editions). My EDC carry is an LCP and I've never had a hiccup with it. Probably the best value, and definitely as small/light as anything else in that category. I couldn't hit the broad side of the barn when I first got it. Now I'm on my 2nd LCP (sold first one to replace it with a nickel slide version) and after a thousand or so rounds rounds through the two LCP's, I can generally keep a couple inch group at typical defensive ranges. I've STILL never met a gun that is not more accurate than I am, even the mouse guns. :D

I converted my Makarov to 380, and it's a great little pistol. There were a bunch of nice ones at the last fun show. It isn't light though, more of an IWB than pocket pistol.

I used to own an LCP, wish I still had it. Great little gun.

I've had my Bersa Thunder 380CC for a couple of years now as my carry "summer" gun. The CC is a bit slimmer than the standard Thunder. I have put 500 rounds through it with no malfunctions and getting groups of 3" at 25'. Not bad for such a "small" gun.
When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.
