Flat Dark Earth Glocks

Haven't seen a post on these yet so I figured I'd share. I talked to Thunderjohn tonight and he plans to get some in stock so if you want one send him an email. They look pretty sweet!

Glocks guys were colorblind and the OD was really tan. Never quite understood that.
These look to be more like the S&W or Springfield Dark Earth.

is this a Glock produced FDE frame or does Lipseys (or another 3rd party) put on a coating (like Cerakote) afterwards? I would say that the cost gives credit to my opinion that it may be something other than just a Cerakote finish. However, on the other hand, I can see them charging more for Cerakote (or similar) finishing because it's sold by a trusted dealer.

I would just expect them to have something on their site further explaining it - especially since there are others like myself that are new to the market.

The description/details on their page leaves some to be desired (ie http://lipseys.com/itemdetail.aspx?itemno=GLPI1950203D&mfg=Glock&stock=Flat+Dark+Earth+Polymer).

Thanks for any input

I'll have to come take a look at it.
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

There are 17, 19, and 23s in stock at Bill's in Robbinsdale. They look pretty good, sort of a "SCAR" FDE

All these color choices and such things seems kinda metrosexual/hipsterish when it comes to firearms... Not that I don't think they look good.

Might need your assistance anyway. I might take the Trij, HD's you put on my Gen2 17, and throw them on the new Gen4 17. and put the stock sights on the Gen2 for now untill I can get another set.

I really should just invest in a sight pusher. Lord knows I've done enough sight swapping or installing with the old Hammer and Punch to justify buying one. I just always think I won't be needing one again................but I always seem to

Don't care until the WHOLE gun is FDE. And yes, the OD green models were pretty much an epic fail.
