I had an xd once. I traded it for a glock. Both good guns but I guess im just coming to terms of being a glock fanboy.

the XD is a nice gun, but i have to agree about the "m" being a noteworthy upgrade. i like the feel of the grip on the XDm better than the XD. whatever, to each his own.

Upgrade to the "M" ! I'm very pleased with mine!

oh, and when you DO decide you want something different, look at the Springer EMP. it'll come full circle, a poly gun owner will no doubt go 1911-chassis

Nice pick up, when I was deciding on a carry firearm I rented the XDM 40, Glock 23 and M&P 40c. I shot one mag through the M&P before I decided that I hated it, I'm sure the full size frame is better but the compact was a no go. It was then a toss up between the G23 and XDM 40. I decided to go with the G23 because it felt lighter and the simplicity of it. I can detail strip it in seconds. Both are great guns and shoot great.
