Glock 30??

Postby PowderBurn14 on Sat May 26, 2012 8:51 pm

I am thinking of getting a Glock 30 for carry. Does anyone shoot or carry a Glock 30? If so, what do you like or dislike about it? Also, I qualify for LE pricing and Streicher's dosen't sell Glock anymore, what police supplier does in MN? Any info would be helpful. Thanks

I miss Streicher's selling Glocks.
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

Thanks for the link MrVvrroomm. I have looked at Keeprs web site but no pistols or prices are listed, I will have to call them on Monday.

Glock 30 is the only short gun I've ever owned. Fifteen years, probably more than 15,000 rounds through it, never a single issue. Even yesterday afternoon during the shooting part of my permit to carry class in a relatively nasty thunderstorm. :)

Ahlmans in Morristown is or at least was a Glock LEO dealer.

The G30 is the only Glock I own. What I like is, it's small enough to conceal easily while having a respectable capacity in a major caliber.

The G36 is thinner but you give away capacity. To me, capacity is the main reason to carry a polymer auto. Even though it feels thick in my hand, I was able to shoot it accurately from day one. The G30 is considered by many to be the best Glock made. I agree.

MrVvrroomm recently added night sights to mine and now it's complete.

The G30 is a pretty thick gun and when fully loaded it's similar to carrying a brick. Other than that it has a high capacity and works like a champ. Thunderjohn might be a good person to talk to.

Thanks alot guys, great info. Also, I have owned a Sig 220 before and I loved it. So, I am considering a Sig 220 Carry if I can justify the 3-4 hundred dollar price difference. Any Sig 220 shooters out there?

I have the Sig P220 Elite 3.8" barrel and there is not a better gun made in my eyes...Sweet looking gun and shoots tack froim the moment you pull the trigger for the first time to the last time each and every day!!!

Just picked up another Sig on Friday, P226 9mm from MNBlackJack and once again another beautiful shooter!!!!

Looking forward to getting a Sig 1911!!! I would have it already of it wasn't for my truck deciding to blow out some pistons or a crank!!!!!

In time I will have a Sig 1911....Heck I sold my Kimber 1911 to help fund a AR build and also my 1911 dreamer!!

The G17, G21, G19, G20 & G29 and told me to cold cock you, then kick you in the ribs till you changed your mind. They'll settle for you just whimpering Glocks rule, but other wise I was told not to let up till you pass out.
