This is why the glorious nagant revolver is superior to the arms of the capitalist swine. Rejoice comrades, for we have no need to worry about keeping our digits away from cylinder gaps!

Actually, that's one of the larger reasons that's I'm the 800 lb. reloading troll under the bridge. Once you have been dumb enough to permanently disfigure yourself, you fully grasp the consequences of making bad decisions on the spur of the moment. As such, when some hyper eager young n00b comes in here and wants load data and loading advice because he's too cheap to buy a manual and too lazy to search this forum for the answers to all his questions, I tend to get bent out of shape, primarily because very few people shoot by themselves, so the n00b's screwups could injure the poor bystanders in the next bay. Plus the liberal media love stories about people with guns hurting innocent bystanders (they'll ignore the part about the bystanders having guns too... ), so it's bad press for shooting and particularly reloading.

BTW, it's really funny when I use one of my stumps to pick my nose, because it looks like I have my finger all the way up into my skull!! :P :D :)

I hate to admit mistakes, but since we're on the path of warning others about the cylinder blast from revolvers...I learned the hard way as a kid that you have to watch what you're shooting next to as well. I was running around in the woods with an old S&W .357 when I tried to use a pine tree as cover. I leaned around the right side of the tree and popped a shot at my target and was greeted with a blast of pine park in the left side of my face. Make sure the cylinder is past the barrier. You don't want to be picking wood splinters out of the side of your eye. I suffered no ill effects, but I'll never do that again.
