Revolver Recommendation

Since I'm not a wheel gun guy, I've had my eye on one of these: STI Escort

Does anybody have experience with STI guns and their quality?

I am in the minority, but I was not impressed with my 9mm Trojan when I received it. It had several issues, problem with slide stop, feeding problem, poor bluing, among several other things, I was totally disappointed. It went back under warranty and they fixed everything to perfection, but it should have never left the factory in it's original condition.

I will probably be the only that has had a problem with a STI, some will say they find it hard to believe, but you asked.

Anyone know of a good speedloader for a Taurus 85. The ones I've used bind up on the grip when I try to disengage. Hank.

The Safariland are better. Best bet, get some new grips. Makes a world of difference.

So what model 625 did yu order and if I may ask, what was the price? I found a new JM version for $729, and was wondering if it is a good but. I'd really like the 5 inch verses the 4.

I recently paid $745 for my JM and thought it to be a fair price.

I was told that prices were under $700 as recently as late 2007. So, prices have been going up (what else is new?). You may have found a gun without an "updated" price.

I got the JM as well. It was $770, which seemed to be a good price based on the Internet prices I found ranging from $759 to $815.

And as far as shooting it goes, anyone who comes to the July steel shoot can shoot it!

Any comments or suggestions for improvement? I have to say, I might just have been bitten by the revolver bug. I can't stop looking at 686s, a smaller airweight .38, and (gasp!) maybe even something really punishing, like a 460. Yikes!

I think that the moon clips will work better if you use primered ammunition. Just my .02

Yeah but unprimered ammo works well for practicing fast reloads without the hassle of replacing the TV when the booger hook hits the bang switch.
