Being that I have gun A.D.D. Something fierce, and I have swapped sold bought and traded many a pistols In The last few year, the one pistol I kept going to was glock:

First pistol:
Kimber custom carry...traded for a g23
G23-g27
G27-442
442-sig sp2022
Sp2022-g17
G17-g19 flat dark earth

Now the g19 is in the lead for my favorite pistol ever. It has good capacity, light enough, shoots good (especially with the trigger job), and has plenty of tacticool parts for cheap.
Some say that he lives in a tree, and that his sweat can be used to clean precious metals... all we know is, he's called the Stig.

It's just nice to know some people really like 1911.
But man glocks are also great for those who are pro in using it.

Interesting that the G19 is referred to as "The Professionals Gun" in the business.

Dont ever misunderstand - the 1911 is fundamentally a good platform, I just personally have never had a postive experience with one - If a gun does not work for ME - it is down the road. I have no patience for it.

I'm a 1911 guy but I picked up a Glock 22 the other day and it actually felt pretty good. I have to find a place where I can borrow/rent one to really see if I like it. I can see on in my future.

I shot SIGs for years, but as their guns fell to crap back about 2006, I switched over to M&P when I went to 9mm. That's been a pretty good gun for me, but when I went looking for a double-stack carry gun, I bit the bullet after years of being anti-Glock and bought a Gen 3 Glock 19. I was hoping that by getting a Gen 3 I could avoid the well-documented ejection/extraction issues but I didn't. I shoot that gun really well and it fits my hand well, but the random ejection patterns, especially the recurrent brass-to-the-face issue, is really annoying. Based on my experience and from what I read on GlockTalk and M4Carbine, I couldn't recommend a Glock to anyone without that signifcant warning.

I had an older G17 that did that when I first got it. I replaced all the springs, one at a time, to see what the effect was. What cured the problem was the recoil spring. Less than $20 too :-)

what ammunition are you using? Glock publishes minimum bullet weight/velocities...if you wanna plink with real light loads a lighter spring will help...YMMV

Yeh, I ordered both a 15lb and 17lb Wolff recoil spring ($7 each) and a Wolff guide rod. We'll see how that works out. There's enough variability in ejection performance of late Gen3 and Gen4 Glock 19s that having to buy new parts to make my particular gun work reliably is irritating, but I'm otherwise happy with the gun, so we'll give it a shot.

It could just be that the factory spring is worn out. Mine was. I just replaced it with OEM.

well, i shot another Glock that i liked. hell, i LOVED it. however, it wasn't really a Glock anymore, more of a custom race gun...

this pistol ^^^ is owned by one of the members at Bills, and he let me get a little trigger time on it (after he overheard me saying that i haven't found Glock that shoots well for me). it's a little excessive, but damn if it didn't shoot exactly where i pointed it! not only did he change my mind on the potential of a Glock, but he is also slowly changing my opinion on .40s&w

I've been looking for one of those for my next carry gun. Maybe we'll start an "Enhanced Production" division. 8-)

For or against?

I already know most people will disagree with this post, but here it goes... I have been shooting shotguns too long. I need a manual safety. I'm always looking for a safety even if a gun doesn't have it. Just habit. Plus I have issues tucking a gun down my pants without one. That's just me. That's why I carry an s9c
