Oh no watch out. They're like rabbits they just keep multiplying. Next thing you know you're going to want every size in a certain caliber. Welcome to the darkside.

Purely practical.

This will take my duty mags, so it's a more convenient backup.

Now might be the time for me to start a 1911 collection.

I like all guns. But this is like Hugh Grant picking up a cheap hooker while dating Elizabeth Hurley.

I'm one of those weird guys. I really like my 1911, but I also really like my wife's Glock.
Congrats on your new acquisition!

Nice pick up! One thing to note....expect erratic ejections when using under powered ammo (like dribbling out of the pistol onto your arms)....but the recoil really is noticeably less with the Gen 4's, and the hump on the grip is much smaller.

I have several 1911's and one lonely Glock. Guess what gets carried?

I did carry a 1911 in the military and have tried as a civilian. I always end up with the Glock.

Not true in all cases. I had some problems with my 17 throwing brass all over the place at first but with an updated part that got taken care of. The rest of my gen4s I have not had one problem.

Are you using under powered ammo?
