Filling the stable...

Postby GunGoogler on Wed Aug 22, 2012 9:56 am

Good morning everyone,

I'd like to introduce you to the newest pony in my family: The Colt 1911 Wiley Clapp Government Model! A while back, I posted a similar thread after purchasing my Colt 1911 Wiley Clapp 21st Century Commander. Now Talo has gone and released the full-size model in a limited run of 1,000 (I have #210). It is a full-sized, Series 70, carbon steel frame and slide. It's got the same Novak brass bead and geezer sights that I love on my Commander. Some Pete SIngle upgrades, including the 360-degree beveled magazine well, and the 25-line hi-cut front strap. Of course it also has the original style small safety and tapered Rosewood grips. I'm a huge fan of this grip style and the two pistols together (I should get a display box for these) look beautiful side-by-side. I'll go fire it tonight, but without further ado:

Really, really nice looking pistols. 8-)

Yeah we had that chat between everyone shooting. Hell you even held up a target to your chest. But that's not the point I was making.
