Make a recommendation: Compact, concealable, Decocker, Safet

When looking at small semi-autos, what would you recommend?
The safety is non-negotiable and Condition 1 carry is not going to be considered. So, that seems to mean a decocker and dsafety in a compact semi. This severely limits the list.

Thoughts? Opiinions? Derision :-)

Go ahead and laugh all you want, but take a serious look at the Beretta 9000S, in either 9mm or .40 S&W. Gander Mtn. Is selling them NIB right now for $350.

Beat you to it. We passed one around today. It has all the features but none of the function. Perhaps the trigger would wear in and get better

That said ... If anyone owns one ... I'll shoot almost anything at least once.

I have a S&W 3913LS that you are certainly welcome to test drive anytime that you would like, my only requirement is that I do not want to stand next to you so that you cover me in brass up to my ass again :P . Let me know.

He has a bad habit of doing that, you are not the only one. I brought a M4 with 30 rounders to the range one day for him to try......I thought that I would be safe shooting in the position to his left.........darn if he didn't figure out how to bounce them off the wall, over the barrier, and right on to me...................it will be the last time.... :P :P :P :P :P

I can vouch that is is a sweet little gun. Nice single stack 9mm, 8 + 1. My wife likes it for the trigger pull. I would highly recommend this gun to anybody.

Yep, I am thinking he needs to be on far right side of the line given his towering stature :!:

The Smith 39xx or 69xx guns are great options, Sigs, Berretta PX Storm full size or compact.

We should go together to the St Paul gun show and go look around. 8-)

You can try out my CZ PCR sometime if you'd like. It's an excellent 9mm decocking carry pistol. Accurate, compact, alloy framed, 14 round capacity.

how small are you trying to go?

seecamp and rohrbagh?

The aforementioned 6903 are pretty good, but not really all that small, the mini 1911 patterns are pretty small too. What ever I have is yours to try. The best are the Fisk hi-powers, but those tend to be left in wills, vs showing up on the free trade market. The C&S chopped hipowers are not cheap but considered dead nuts reliable.

S&W CS-9 (discontinued last year but you can still find them)

Or if you want to go cheaper, a Skyy (DAO w/ safety)

Sig, Sig, Sig. I would definitely Sig 'em. If you get a chance to shoot one you will understand why. I have 2 people from my carry class a couple weeks ago now looking to buy a P220.

I'm going to throw my vote in with Sqib Joe. A Chief's Special in 9mm or .45 was what I was looking for when I got a great deal on a 3913. Of course a 3913 is probably a pocket gun for you anyway... :D

I've also been considering a Para Warthog.
