I can not comment on open carry, but I've had a Beltman belt for about 7-8 years. I though it was so good that I purchased a second one. Now I always wear one if I'm carrying or not. I really don't like any other belt now, and would buy another when ever either one of these wear out.

Yeah, I decided to go with the belt man. I went with the 1 1/2" belt with the reinforcement. Not a bad price $99.00 and $106 with shipping. He was actually my first choice, then I shopped around, posted her, got lots of good info which I researched, and ultimately went back to my first choice. I think I made the right decision. I'm not really into spending wads of cash trying out what doesn't work well for me.

Next up.... a holster. I think I found a good one, but I'd like to try out in first in-person. Does anyone know of a shot that sells these locally or someone that has one I could check out?

You're gonna hate it.

This is basically my duty holster. It gets in the way of just about EVERYTHING.

Look for something "high ride" with a forward cant and a snap.

Something similar to this: http://www.falcoholsters.com/eshop/gun-holsters/belt-holsters/leather-holsters/84-comfortable-leather-belt-gun-holster-it-34.html

This one looks pretty nice: http://www.highnoonholsters.com/Product_Line/_Sky_High/_sky_high.html

I'm also pretty sure Erik at sideguardholsters.com would make you something with a snap.

I'm sure he's good and his stuff too, but I decided to go with the Side Guard made out of cowhide, dyed black.

Edited: 11/08/2012 - So here's the final results.....

I ordered a 1 1/2" black, re-enforced belt with a rounded black bucket and 7 holes from http://www.thebeltman.net for $109.00 and I ordered a cowhide holstered in black from http://highnoonholsters.com/Product_Line/_Slide_Guard/_slide_guard.html for $143.95 (that includes the $14.00 S&H charge + the holster cost), for a grand, out-the-door-total-cost of $252.95 for a heavy-duty belt and holster with both being custom-made and custom-fit for me and my weapon-of-choice.

Once again, thanks for all of your help. I'm sure I saved tons of money and headache trying to find what works and what doesn't work because of all of your help, so again, I thank you and everyone on this forum.
