If you order directly from LB, it'll be about a six month wait, the last time I heard.

There's one on GB with a buy it now price of $1770...

Or, if you can live with the rollmarks, you can always get a (now discontinued) Thunder Ranch Special.

The gunsmith in Anoka does work on 1911s. Not sure if he does all the type of work you are looking to get done. I have had him do alot of work on my gun.

Looking at the LB site, ordering direct isnt an option unless you're an ffl. So I'll have to go through an FFL for the whole process not just the transfer. I've contacted one online dealer who supposedly stocks LBs sans front slide serrations to see what the deal is. I might end up having to go with gunbroker though... never bought anything on there, no clue how it works or how to avoid getting ripped off... (I dont really do ebay either...)

Call Crazy John. http://cj1911heaven.com/

He often has pistols in stock with several options. I was able to get a PII with combat sights and no FCS. :)
