Kahr K9

Does anyone have experience with the K9? I'm I've been researching it a bit, and it looks like a great gun. Especially because there has been a bit of a surplus of them because NYPD has been told to not carry them anymore.

Other than the weird trigger, does anyone have anything good or bad to say about them?

Kahr K9

I just sold mine to help fund a .45. I found it easier to shoot more accurately than the CM9, and the recoil was lessened by the mass of the steel frame. Quite concealable IWB, but not for pockets unless you're into cargo pants. Buy it, you'll be pleased with the qualities.

It is a great gun! Heavy as hell for the size, but it has a smooth trigger, great reliability and is accurate.

I've owned several Kahr pistols, all the all-stainless models, and have thoroughly enjoyed every one. I just picked up another K9 and can't wait to shoot it this weekend. Yes they are heavier than the polymer models, but they are smooth and well-made. Kahr customer service is great too. Any time I've had an issue they've promptly made it right.

Thanks guys. I just ordered one last night. Can't wait to get it. Did any of you order the factory wood grips?

While I was waiting, I also found my next gun. The CZ 97B.

The wood grips are nice and really make the gun look great. You may prefer the rubbery factory grips, however. I am planning to order a set of checkered wood grips for my K9 :)

That's the .45 I just bought, in glossy blue. Taking it to the range tomorrow for the first time. Treated it with Militec-1 at 140* for 2 hrs and it's ready to go. The trigger is much much smoother than the stainless CZ 75B that I recently picked up, but Cajun Gun Works hammer and seer fixed that.

Bets are you'll like both a lot!
