Price? $449 ? which is list.[/quot

It was 467 shipped with insurance.....449 is their cash only price. Still not a bad deal at all considering the current market for the shield.

For me it was personal preference. I have been looking for a good carry gun for the past year. I am pretty thin so I wanted a single stack so I could conceal the easiest. I went to Ahlmans shooters roundup this year and had the opportunity to shoot one and instantly feel in love with the gun. The trigger felt great for a stock gun and I just loved how it felt in my hand. I was sold after the first "BANG". I shot the LC9 right after it and it felt like a cheap toy compared to the shield. I have also handled Kahrs and KelTec's and didn't like either how single stacked felt in my hand nearly as much. Of course this is all my opinion and if you add that up with all the great reviews everywhere I had to have one.

I had an LC9. I was shocked at how shootable it was. After havin a revolver I was pretty used to double action though. The shield does appear to have a more comfortable grip.

I wanted to like the LC9 It just didn't feel quite as good in my hands as the Shield or XDS did. It shot fine for the most part it was mostly a feel thing for myself. I had heard mostly good things about the LC9 and I wonder if I would have a different opinion if I hadn't shot a shield 2 minutes before that....

Kel-Tec tried to make the 'lightest / thinnest' 9mm and it's 13oz unloaded the Shield is 19oz and that may be the absolute mininum weight for a 'non-finnicky' 9mm.

I have yet to get my pf-9 to run perfectly....the .380 is effortless to carry and many want the power of the 9mm......so there is big demand.....for 'easy to carry with 9mm power and 100% reliability w/ any ammo'

The Kel-Tec PF-9 may be just short of that goal....jury's still out for me.

After my long long search the Shield has finally arrived.....PIC is next to my XDS for comparison.

Same as the 45, but slightly heavier due to a smaller hole in the barrel.

2 rounds more capacity (7,9).

Yeah, their email notification thing is bogus. I signed up for it a while ago and have never gotten an email that they are in stock.
