his crimped magazine lips patent shows up, but nothing on bullets, and I would guess putting a cross hatch of any sort on a bullet would be invalidated by the prior art developed Dum-Dum India in the 1800's. I think the real reason is cost ($1 per bullet!) and the fact that they are individually machined. They're not going to be able to compete with CorBon, R-P, or any of the other big defensive bullet manufacturers as far as price is concerned in smaller calibers. 50GI owners have enough money to own a 50GI, and I would guess nearly all of them handload.
