There are already comparison videos all over Youtube. Many comparisons between the Shield and G26 as well- and most of them came to same conclusions as i have. The thinness of the Shield makes printing much less of an issue for most body types and carry positions. It's grip is barelly longer than the G26 and the thinness much more than makes up for it. That thinness also makes it much more comfortable for IWB for most people.

I carry my Glocks OWB in a Crossbreed super slide or bianche pancake holster because of the thickness of them. Doesn't work under any t-shirts i have tried. Works great with fall/winter wear though- or a very loose/baggy button up shirt in summer- but i can't always wear those and wanted something more effective than the LCP- hence- the Shield.
Glocks-- 17,19,26 in 9mm and the 21 and 36 in .45auto-- S&W M&P Shield 9mm
Ruger LCP and LCR
Bolt and lever guns for deer
Buckmark and M@P .22 pistols for summer varmint carry
Mini-14 and Rem. 870 for all types of vermin.

One thing i havn't tried is ankle carry of the G26- that is supposed to conceal very well- but slower than i like to get into action. Of course- i could do both- if i wanted to be really well armed...

Printing in the summer is my main concern with the G19. I have a 2-yr old and a 5-yr old and I do a lot of bending over in public picking up all the junk they drop/throw/spill/kick/sweep/puke onto the ground. A baggy tshirt conceals my G19 in my super tuck until I bend over and then it screams MWAG.

Yeah- I have a 4 year old and also pass through many places I don't want the issue of my carrying to come up- i strive for no printing what so ever.

Duh! I only looked at google images. I am curious since my LCP is tiny compared to the 27.

Enjoy it!

Maybe because they are overrated? ::runaway::

If that were the case they wouldn't be allocated a year later. People that feel the need to come in to someone's happy new purchase thread saying their new toy isn't as good as X typically have something to prove to themselves. Pretty tacky IMO.

Congrats on your new M&P Unicorn. I hope you have as much fun as me being a little hipster about your Shield..."I had one back before they were popular."

Finally got my hands on an M&P Shield!!!!

I shot mine at the BPR league last Thursday. It's a fun little gun to shoot. It's good for a big pocket. But in a strong side IWB it just disappears!

 That's what people were telling me when i started buying Glocks. I'm the one laughing when people show up at the range with their new Kimber and it's jamming on every mag.

My Glocks have been 100% reliable with defense loads and 99.99% reliable with weak range ammo.

I expect my Shield will be just as reliable- from the reports i am seeing from others. My first mag through it, I wasn't gripping it quite right and it was moving alot in my hand under recoil and it still cycled perfectly with the 115 gr. loads i was shooting. My second mag- the 8 rounder- 5 out of 8 shots were in one ragged hole and the others weren't far off under rapid fire at 15 yds. I plan to get out the end of the week and run a bunch of rounds through it- and i expect to only get happier with it.
