where/ how do I purchase new Colt 1911??

I want to buy a new COLT 1911... where in MN has the selection available? or do i need to order from the factory through a FFL or gunshop and wait?

any 2 cents is appreciated

Most of the local dealers should have them either new or used. Chekc out gander mountsin, cabelas, bills, etc.. Better yet, go to colt's website and do a zip code search for dealers of colt handguns.

Bills Gun Shop in Robbinsdale has new and used. Frontiersman in St.Louis Park has a new one in .38 Super.

Bill's in Robbinsdale my buddy just picked up a Colt 1911 lightweight Tuesday they had about 4 in stock. & thanks Leam for the great customer service.

Gunstop has a Colt Wiley Clapp 1911 as of last week.

The last 3 or 4 times I was in Cabela's (Rogers) they didn't have any new Colt 1911s on display...only a few used ones in the library.

They've been back almost everywhere even before the latest gun rush....I recently picked up a Government model that I love, it's my new go to carry gun when size doesn't matter

Really? Must be in a special glass case that I haven't seen yet. Every time I've been there in the last 6 months there were no new Colts in with the other 1911s in the case right in front of the new shotguns. I've bought a few new Colt 1911s from the Cabela's Rogers location about 2 years ago, but haven't seen anything new recently. Used is a different story.
