I prefer .44mag because of ammo cost and availability.

I love my XIX in polished chrome. It's one of my dream guns I've wanted as long as I can remember. I'll never part with it.

I've shot a .50AE without a break. It'd be interesting to see what it's like to shoot with one.

New purchase. A mans toy!

I would report back, but due to a recent surgery, I won't be firing this hand cannon for awhile. I'll bring it to the range next time I go and see if a buddy will test it for me. I'm restricted to .22lr only for awhile. Lol

Well, the weather is finally going up in the 40's, and I have a new chrono that I need to test out, so if you live anywhere on the East side you could come to Oakdale and I could check out this beast and let you know what I think. Don't worry too much about ammo, as I have boxes of 50AE here and there that have been sitting around forever. PM me.

I might be going to Circle Pines on saturday. If i do, your more than welcome to shoot mine! Heck that's an open invitation to anyone. If i do go, i'm sure that i'll be pretty easy to find there. The one that's making all of the noise in the range!

Magnum research called me today, they received my barrel today, fitted the brake already and they are shipping it back tomorrow morning! That was fast! They advised not to take the brake off. I should have it back by Monday!

Thanks greenfarmer for making me spend money! Lol j/k!

Ah, think of it as an "investment." I love the DE. I am going to BPR tomorrow at 10AM but not bringing the DE. I am shooting the FA .44mag and testing some FMJ Remington .452 bullets in my 625JM with AR brass. I'm a little leery of running them thru the 45 autos. Although I am in the process of loading tonight, and I'll load up a couple just to see if they'll chamber. I frankly don't think the .001 will be an issue but I wanna be really careful.

If you get into reloading it I can help. I'm not the resident expert here but I reloaded quite a bit of DE 50. Strange when people say what ammo costs-I've never bought any 50.

Yeah that's quick turnaround on the barrell. Post some photos!

I was really surprised when they called! Now I can't wait to get that bad boy back! I'll post some pics as soon as I wipe the drool off! Lol

Ya, I pump out a few rnds of .50 on the 650. I've only bought a few boxes before I got my machine setup for that caliber. Ive saved some serious coin by reloading them.

Glad i could be of help! I sometimes have a tendancy to help others spend their money. I don't like to be the only one spending.

I guess you can say they must have pretty good customer service there. That was very quick turnaround!

Glad they mentioned not to take the brake off. That's good to know. I was a bit hesitant to try mine without it. So i'm glad they told you that before i decided to give that a go.

You'll enjoy it. Just like a whole new toy again! :D

Congratulation! This is by far the funnest handgun I have ever shot, my opinion may be a little biased because I was lucky enough to be one of the engineers to help produce this in MN. Got to get a fair amount of trigger time in the development, and every time we got done shooting went away giggling like a school girl. The Israeli version was awesome in it's self, but the american version seems much more dependable and accurate. One of the biggest upgrades to the DE is fact we use hot rolled bar stock to produce the slide and barrel instead of casting like the IWI versions. On a side note we are prototyping a DE frame with a picatinny rail on bottom, the thing looks really cool-hoping to pick one of these up with a proto serial number. If you ever get a chance to shoot one without a muzzle brake you will find a considerable differences in recoil. I myself enjoy a little kick but would much rather shoot it with the brake, the wife will even let off a few rounds with it on. If you want a real experience shoot a 10" barrel, that thing is a mule. I thought I would attach a picture of my little muzzle brake project for the 10"(pictured next to my USP). The Ar front sight was laying around and just happen to fit so I used to anchor the brake- looks funny I know but worked. Also attached a link to me shooting it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxKvkMG4J7c
