I just put a brand new gen4 17 on layaway. $559.99 is what I paid. Maybe once I get it outta layaway ammo will be on the shelves... maybe not...

I may be wrong, but no way the value of the used department gun can be much over $200. It is the markup that is spoiling these as a bargain. Talk to a FFL and ask about his privileges on purchasing large lots of department returns. I got my last SIGP228 from the Indiana State Police's Model/brand switchover for a very low $ via a table top dealer in Minnetonka . I would recommend that you track down Mark of Sieh's Guns and see if he has any input. Or Pat Cellette?

We upgraded our Glocks from Gen 3 to Gen 4. My 17 was a shade over $300.
