Revolver carry.

Postby PHATSPEED7x on Thu May 30, 2013 10:33 am

Since I got my new holster for my LCR I've been carrying it for a week or so now. It's normally carried as a back up to my m&p9c but I've been just packing the LCR with a few 5 star speed loaders. Feels alright. I jist need to train a little more at the speed reload.

Anyone else here carry a revolver as a main concealment gun? What do you carry and how do you like it?

I live in a smaller town about 50 miles from the Cities and I use my LCR as my main carry all the time when I am staying local. I have two IWB holsters from SGH I use. One is a tuckable and one is not. Also use a Desantis Nemesis for pocket carry and a SmartCarry for deep concealment. What clothing I will wear on a day, my physical activity level, and known GFZ's I will visit determine which holster I use. However, when I travel to larger urban areas I carry my semi-auto 40 cal.

Been carrying my SP101 often lately, OWB. Two speed strips in the back pocket, which I prefer over speed loaders because they're flat.

I've got my Ruger Security Six 2 3/4" in a Galco Combat master. Love it, I just wish the gun rode a bit lower.

For a while I carried a S&W 60 j-frame .357 in an IWB holster.

I still have the option to do that, but so far I've kind of moved away from it in favor of semis with a slimmer profile and/or greater capacity.

I have a few autos and always seem to pick my 2" sp101 in high ride OWB lether holster with two speed strips in my front right pocket making 17rds of 357mag on hand out and about.

I mostly pocket carry my j frame. I have a couple IWB but I like the pocket holster the best so far. I don't like to have to worry about my shirt riding up and showing the holster(I need to get some better clothes). I saw that at a store today and was reminded why I like my pocket holster. I have an SGH IWB ordered, will see how I like that. I also have some speed strips that I occasionally carry.

3" Ruger GP100 .357. Kinda bulky but I like it. Before that, a 2 1/4" SP101. Speed strip in my pocket, and a speedloader in a jacket pocket in jacket weather. If I had to dress neat very often, I'd be strongly tempted to get an LCR.

When hunting I carry my S&W Highway Patrolman in a custom kydex holster. It's surprisingly concealable for such a large gun. I carry two speedloaders with it, in a belt pouch.

642 in my pocket or, rarely, on an ankle. Speed strip in bottom pocket of six pocket shorts, or watch pocket of jeans.

OWB does NOT equal OC.

That's a shame. I know it doesn't always = OC, but I assumed he did. Well, hopegfully he does.

Normal carry for the summer is a Taurus 650 357Mag in a Sideguard tuckable. When circumstances dictate I'll carry the Glock 21 but it's getting rarer and rarer.
