It's oil! All Les Baer 1911's come dripping with oil! They also come in a cardboard box, nothing fancy! I'm guessing they are trying to save money and put that savings back into their firearms!

For a local dealer, hands down go to Arnzen Arms in Eden Prairie. The are stocking up on custom 1911's. The folks I've dealt with have been very knowledgeable and helpful.
