I asked to see it, and the young lady said I was the first person to even recognize it, and it was a Guncrafters Model #1, in 50GI. Serial number was 1685, which means GI has made about a 1000 more since I got mine with a 600ish serial number. I told her the only way to recognize it was the mag base, as it's thicker than any other 1911 because Alex had to have the extra room to still allow for 7 rounds, and then I showed such a mag base sticking out if the 1911 in my waistband. They had 2 boxes of bullets, with one being plain old boring lead SWC bullets, and the others were the 230 grain 1000 FPS solid copper daisycutters that expand out to a full inch. They were 20 for $50, which isn't bad seeing as the bullets alone are lathe turned and a buck apiece. Price on the gun was $3319.
Bill's Hudson has a 50GI in the showcase!?!

We have some as well! Glad to see GI's has made its way to the dealers here locally! Alex is a master at his craft and runs a good crew!
